Pediatric Gynaecology

Pediatric and adolescent gynaecology builds a bridge between pediatrics and women's health/gynaecology.

This area needs to be approached with a high degree of sensitivity.

Girls are happy to trust pediatric doctors because they are less nervous or embarrassed in our presence and, at best, already know us. In order to take on such a responsible task competently, I have deepened my knowledge, skills and abilities in this field and have attained the qualification required to carry out consultations in pediatric and adolescent gynaecology.

As a pediatrician with an additional specialisation in this field, I am qualified and competent to advise and take care of children and adolescents with the following symptoms and complaints during my specialised consultation hours.

Changes in the external genital organ

• inflammation, itching, redness, labial adhesions (synechia), discharge, skin changes, peculiarities related to the hymen

• Changes in the internal genital organ:

• discharge, bleeding, pain

• Developmental anomalies:

• early breast growth, early or late onset of puberty

• physical examination and determination of the developmental stage

• inspection of the external genital organ

• sonography of the inner genital organ through the abdominal wall

• laboratory diagnostics (blood, urine, smear tests)
